Chinese Yongzheng Rouge De Fer Porcelain Rooster Vase, 1723-1735

About the Item

An exceptionally fine and rare Chinese Yongzheng period vase of quatrefoil form decorated with a pair of roosters perched on rocks, surrounded by a pair of large butterflies, insects and sprays of flowers in rouge de fer enamels, grey, black and gold dating between 1723 and 1735. The neck and lower body embellished with a Rockefeller border in red and gold with black outlines. The vase is not marked. Offered in excellent condition with only minor signs of age related wear.
