About the Item
This fine silk late 19th Century antique Chinese bag came from an estate I handled that had an incredible collection of Asian textiles. Many of the pieces were museum quality and I really enjoyed just having the opportunity to handle them. This black silk handbag is finely embroidered with gold metallic thread and has 2 silk tassels hanging on one side. The lining is starting to show wear, as you can see in the photograph. but the bag itself is in amazing condition. The handle is wrapped in black cording and the bag measures 11 inches wide at the bottom, and 9" high (not including the handle). A beautiful one of a kind purse!
