Louis XV period France Rigid body of Court with busk and eyelets in two laced parts, entirely ribbed with whalebone and reeds. Back in cherry edged satin (satin of 8) with floral decoration called "à la dentelle". Lining in unbleached hemp or russet, entirely stitched in front stitch to cover the baleen. Original mottled silk braid in the back. Slight patina of the period, its condition can be considered as excellent for the period. Dimensions: Small size. Circa 1730 France Rare rigid Whale Boned Bodice in linen and hemp dating from the Louis XV period. Precious work of whalebone embroidery, stitched with a back stitch between a "Roussette" linen canvas for the front and an ecru hemp canvas for the lining. Absolute rigidity of this body refining the silhouette of a bust in a conical shape compressing the chest and waist. "Clean" y in piping made of cream skin, seams folded inside.
