1970’s Helga Light Beige Georgette Dress With Lace Cummerbund

The California fashion label, Helga, was best known for producing ‘better’ suits and dresses at a time when many California designers specialized in sportswear. This pretty design from the 1970’s retailed at Neiman Marcus and is loaded with feminine details that are intended to show off an hourglass figure while maintaining a ladylike aesthetic. The light beige georgette style fabric blousons at the bodice with full sleeves, button cuffs, gathers at the shoulder and a zipper at the back. The waist is cinched to perfection with a built-in ivory lace cummerbund that sets off the silhouette beautifully. Good condition with a faint discoloration at the bodice shown in photograph 9.
