Charles Morin Fine Art Mixed Media

About Charles Morin Fine Art
Charles Morin, Owner Charlie has been in the art and antique business since 1974 when he was 14 years old. His love of antiques began with the buying and selling vintage automobiles. His passion for old things started with the cars and then snowballed into antique jukeboxes, coke machines, and related game room antiques. He now and has for the last 20 years concentrated on fine art, specifically; Vintage, Mid Century, and Contemporary Texas Art. His personal collection consists primarily of a few of his favorite artists such as Porfirio Salinas, Exa Wall, Santa Duran, W.A. Slaughter, A.D. Greer, and Rolla Taylor. Even though he has bought and sold many important Texas paintings, he really appreciates the so called "lower tiered artists" As some of you know, many of these artists have been somewhat overlooked and underrated by the collecting community and one of his biggest thrills is finding a fabulous painting by some obscure Texas artist. He typically has paintings in his inventory ranging in price from $300-$250,000. He is a full time gallery owner that also deals in Vintage; Texas art pottery and vintage Texas utilitarian pottery as well as mid 1800s Handmade Texas Furniture. Charlie also deals in Fine American Art when he can find it. He also loves the early Taos painters. One never knows what painting or sculpture may walk in the door of the gallery. Recently a fantastic John Folinsbee came in that turned out to be the study of his most famous painting.
