Hannes Forster Art
Hannes Forster is a German artist. Forster graduated in 1979, from the College of Arts Berlin, where he was one of Herbert Kaufmann's master students. Already during his studies he dealt in depth with the connection between art and architecture and in 1982, won the second prize of a design competition for an open space in Berlin-Kreuzberg. In those years rubble was one of his favorite working materials. Later, he received further assignments and scholarships for construction-related art, where he built architectural models according to their plans. His works have been shown at numerous symposia and exhibitions since 1982. During his work, he developed the concept of converting the layouts of his three-dimensional brick installations as negative forms into graphite-painted wooden bodies.
