1980s Fabrice Grey Beaded Cocktail Dress
By Fabrice
Located in Toronto, Ontario
Extraordinarily beautiful and very sexy 1980s cocktail dress. The label was created by Haitian born American designer Fabrice Simon, who died tragically young from AIDS in 1998. He created evening dresses and cocktail attire for many celebrities including Shirley MacLaine, Cornelia Guest, Whitney Houston. Kathleen Turner and Elizabeth Taylor, to name just a few. Sadly after his death his place in fashion history was overlooked and his name has all but disappeared from the famous museum collections. Gun metal grey silk chiffon adorned with a hand beaded all over distorted diamond pattern. The bugle beads are silver and reflect/catch the light in the most stunning way. Spaghetti straps with a v neckline and a zig zag hem. Unlined. Fits like a US size 4. Gorgeous for a cocktail party or a wedding - would be very fun as a bridal rehearsal dinner or after party dress...
