21st Century Latin Console Rosso Alicante Marble Estremoz Rosa Marble
Located in RIO TINTO, PT
The neoclassical architecture was a revival of the Classical architecture that started in the mid-18th century. Although it begins in Italy, it becomes especially active in France, as a reaction of Rococo and Baroque architectural styles. With this in mind, one of the most famous French architects, Jacques Germain Soufflot, designed the Parisian Pantheon located in the Latin Quarter. Inspired by the desire to take the arts of Rome, Greece and Renaissance classicism to its collection, Malabar designers conceived this timeless console. As the columns served to carry the weight of the pantheon's structure, the Latin console is supported by one marble foot, featuring curved and cylindrical shapes. The console’s top as the structured is made of Rosso Alicante...

18th Century Dutch Oak Side Table / Sofa Table / Center Table
Located in Carmine, TX
Side table made in the Netherlands in the mid 1700s using oak and pegged construction. This table is extremely well built and, despite its rather large legs and decorations, it has a very elegant appearance. The top is composed of two large inset boards, and shows straight edges. The top sits on a piece of molding that connects it to the apron, which is decorated by inset ebonised panels on the sides, and ebonised fluting on its corners. The four legs show beautiful large hand-turned legs, with the typical Flemish flare. Whoever build this table back in the day did have an impressive attention to details and quite and eye for balance, because even the box stretcher has beautiful ebonised elements that really tie it to the rest of the piece and give it quite a harmonious look. The table still sites on its original bun feet.
This table is truly a beautifully-made and decorated piece. From the strategically placed ebonised wood to the decorative wooden brackets...
