Alain Bonnefoit Figurative Prints
Alain Bonnefoit was born in Montmartre in Paris in 1937. He was a student at the École Nationale supérieure des arts appliqués et des métiers d'art and École Nationale supérieure des beaux-arts. He then followed the Engraving and sculpture section of the École Supérieure des Arts de la Ville de Bruxelles. In 1962, he studied with Volti and discovered the feminine nude. His work is a celebration of the woman with both an influence of the Italian Renaissance and the Japanese painting. Herve Bazin qualified Alain Bonnefoit as the Painter of the Venus. He has exposure in France, Italy, Belgium, Switzerland, Germany, Korea, Japan and more.
