About the Item

The Dark Modern geometric abstract sculpture. Paolo Marazzi signed and dated '96. -- Dimensions: H: 25 inches: W: 17 inches: D: 7 inches Paolo Marazzi was born in Marino (Rome) on November 30, 1947. He graduated as a "master of art" at the State Institute of Art "Paolo Mercuri" in Marino, where he was initiated into drawing by the futurist master Mino Delle Site, he graduated with Pericle Fazzini, at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome. He attended the restoration studio at the Vatican City for about a decade. Assistant and friend of the sculptor Umberto Mastroianni; he started carving at a very young age, mainly using Albanian stone, Marino's peperino, working directly in the ancient Roman quarries. He took action to safeguard the quarries and promoted artistic initiatives in this sense. 1975 He participates in the X National Quadrennial of Art in Rome. 1976 He participates in the competition of the terracotta sketch "City of Florence". 1977 He is invited as the Italian representative to the "33rd Salon de Mai in Paris"; participates in the VI edition of the “Pontano Città di Napoli” prize, wins the first prize of the “City of Foggia” Art Market Exhibition and the first prize “Biennale della Pietra Città di Marino”. In December he participates in the XVI edition of Poggibonsi Arte 1988. 1989 In June he participates in the traveling exhibition organized by the Lazio Region in the Soviet Union which will touch the cities of Moscow, Leningrad, Novosibirsk and Togliattigrad. He participates in the exhibition "III Millennio Pianeta Azzurro". In July he participates in the "Termoli prize" with an inlay in colored stones, and in the "Teverexpò" in Rome.
