Signed lower right, "Ryonosuke Fukui" (Japanese, 1923-1986), a listed artist, and created circa 1965. An artist's proof, hand-colored etching comprising superimposed, stylized plant life creating the impression of aerial cartography. Fukui attended the University of Fine Arts in Tokyo and subsequently exhibited internationally with success. From 1962, he exhibited at the International Biennial of Printmaking in Tokyo and the Ljubljana Bienniale (1963, 1965). Reference: E.
