Gorgeous late 19th Century chromolithograph of daisies and California Golden Poppies by Paul De Longpre (French, 1855-1911), circa 1900. Signed "Paul de Longpre" lower right in print. Presented in giltwood frame. Condition: Good; losses to gesso in frame. Image size, 23"H x 24"L.
Paul studied in Paris at the Ecole des Beaux Arts with Jean Leon Gerome, Leon Bonnat. Famous French and American flower painter, most significant watercolorist to arrive in Los Angeles in the late 19th century and became the city's first major still-life painter.
