ABOUT THIS ARTIST: Sunny Bak is a photographer who sets out to capture the true essence of the human in front of her. She creates a comfortable environment so their personalities shine through. "I want to fall in love with my subjects and see them on a good day."
"I was with the boys during their meteoric rise in the 1980s in Manhattan. The images were exposed to the public for the first Venice Art Crawl 2010, a community art event in Venice Beach, CA., when I didn't have any new work to show. This exhibit gave me the opportunity to reflect on our carefree youth and examine what a unique time we had together.
Archived for 25 years, the negatives of The Beastie Bak Collection are being printed in a limited edition for our gallery.
