Original vintage drink advertising poster for Champagne de Castellane featuring a stylish design by Robert Falcucci (1900-1989) showing an elegant lady in neon colours holding up two glasses of Castellane champagne against the dark background with a bottle of champagne in the foreground and the title text in yellow below. Founded in Epernay France by Viscount Florens de Castellane in 1895, the champagne house De Castellane adopted the red diagonal Cross of Saint Andrew as the emblem of his brand in tribute to the oldest regiment of Champagne; the champagne became popular during the Belle Epoque period and is still considered a premium brand today (now under the ownership of Laurent-Perrier). Printed in France by Ets. Vasselais. Large size. Good condition, repaired tears, restored folds and cracks, backed on linen.
