Howard Behrens (1933 - 2014:) One of the world's most famous painters at the time of his death. His classical technique and captivating subject matter has made his artwork extremely popular among art collectors. Like many successful artists, he began drawing at an early age. At 7, he was bedridden after a sledding accident and began to fall in love with art. He continued to paint through his childhood and teenage years, and pursued an art education at the University Of Maryland where he earned degrees in painting and sculpting. He worked for years to develop his craft, and did not open his first solo exhibit until 1980. Howard Behrens' paintings are feature a bold style and use rich, vibrant colors. They are simultaneously very life like but have a number of impressionist qualities. He is well known for his ability to manipulate textures.
