Clemens Briels
Clemens Briels - Always close - Serigraph on Canvas - 2011 - Figurative Print

2011

About the Item

Serigraph with collage on canvas. 40/45 Clemens Briels grew up in a large family. He wanted to become an artist from an early age. In 1965 he started a course at the Academy for Industrial Design in Eindhoven with the aim of becoming an artist. He enters the advertising world through various circumstances. He brings it to a successful art director but at the age of 45 he decides to choose for artistry. In a relatively short time, Clemens Briels conquered his own place in the art world with the 'Antipodism' he himself created. According to this view, every existence has its counterpart. He guides the viewer through the landscape of infinite fantasies, behind the supposed border of our imagination. Briels mainly works with bright colors. He himself says: "I like to paint with bright colors. I do not like those gloomy canvases. Maybe it has to do with being an outgoing man. "Clemens Briels made the official painting for the 2002 Olympic Winter Games in Salt Lake City.
