If Ruscha’s artwork can be described as stylized representations of American pop culture combined with words and phrases that play with the image and its linguistic meaning, what more contemporary  iconic American image of the west exists than that of not one, but two oil wells.  Created by the artist in 1979 as part of a series of long horizon screenprints, Well, Well – hand-signed, dated and numbered measuring 19 1/2 x 55 in (49.3 x 139.5 cm), unframed from an edition of 50 -  is an architype American image presented as an original screenprint in colors.
