Antique chromolithograph of a Pomeranian named Charley owned by Mr. James Fawdry and a Maltese named Hugh owned by Lady Giffard posed in front of opulently draped royal red fabric. The charming image is from "Cassel's Illustrated Book of the Dog" by Vero Shaw which featured over 93 colored plates as well as black and white wood block engravings. This was the fourth book on dogs to be printed in English and illustrated with color plates. Image size: 7.5 x 9 inches.
Framed in a beautiful light wood frame.
