Leticia Felgueroso
''Mysterious London, Oxford Street'' Contemporary Still-Life Photography

2020

About the Item

The colorful photographs by Spanish artist Leticia Felgueroso (1963) have a modern and layered, but at the same time traditional, character. With a subtle eye for detail Leticia photographs different kinds of fruit, flowers and plants in a dream-like surrounding. Fiction and truth seem to melt together: the images are possible but unprobeable. The mystical ambiance and the exceptional play of light and color place her work in the tradition of magical realism. Leticia Felgueroso offers us a fresh perspective. She uses photography as an extension of our perception, to give us a different view of reality. It makes reality, as it were, rise above itself in a cacophony of bright colors. It makes the ordinary more exciting and attractive to the eye. Felgueroso was educated at the Universidad Complutense in Madrid where she specialized in sculpture and photography. Her work is represented at national and international fairs and exhibitions. ''Mysterious London, Oxford Street'' has an edition of 8.
