Van de Camp Heesterbeek
Stargazer (Black and white portrait)

2018

About the Item

Van de Camp & Heesterbeek (Amsterdam, The Netherlands) Stargazer, 2018 from the Temporal Spaces series. 44 x 88 inches - Edition of 4 Archival Pigment Print - Framed (Black matt) Signature Label - Certificate of Authenticity Dutch duo Van de Vamp & Heesterbeek explores the relativity of reality and of beauty in particular. There’s a classical view on the beauty that one cannot add anything to it nor take away from it and not make things worse. They explore this notion through their Art where digitally manipulated images and digitally created spacial objects are blended together. In their search Patricia and Marc explore boundaries, asking themselves time and again how far they can wander from the classical notion of beauty without overshooting the mark. Without it becoming gaudy or forced and still retaining the power of the story. The technical element of their images could not have been realized without their wide knowledge of photography and graphic design. Their Art introduces people to a reality with a different notion of beauty, space and time. Patricia van de Camp studied graphic Art and photography at the Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam and the Design School SDU Kolding in Denmark. Marc Heesterbeek studied architecture and urban planning at the Technische Universiteit Eindhoven and space architecture at the SICSA in Houston. After a period of long conversations about Art in general and their work in particular, Patricia and Marc discovered a lot of common ground. In 2018 they decided to become an Art duo and combine their skills to make unique photographic works. #portrait #chromagallery #photography #blackandwhite
