From the Series Abyss, 2013 Digital photography printed on aluminum 28 in x 55 in aprox. Lujan Candria is a multidisciplinary artist who uses a wide array of media, such as painting, objects, photography, sound and video to create introspective work of art. She plays with lights and shadows to talk about reminiscences, memory and oblivion. Candria often uses the repetition and juxtaposition of a variety of images all grouped together with subtle variations of light to create intimate narratives and condensed poetics loaded with nostalgia. Candria has presented solo exhibitions at international galleries and institutions including Artium Art Gallery Miami, O Cinema, Mock Gallery, Angel Guido Art Project, ThisIsNotAGallery, Centro Cultural Borges, Espacio Urania Gesso and Centro Cultural Recoleta Buenos Aires. She graduated in sculpture from Escuela Nacional Bellas Artes Prilidiano Pueyrredón, (U.N.A.) and Escuela Nacional de Cerámica Fernando Arranz, Argentina. She studied Applied Musical Computer Science at Fonorama Escuela and Image Editing at Mac Training Center (UNTREF). She was selected by CCEBA (Medialab) to take part in the following courses: Digital Video for Audiovisual Artists, Programming for Artists and a seminar on Sonorous Art. Invited by Laboratorios Do Castro, she took part in XXVII Seminario de estudios cerámicos Sargadelos, Spain. She was Artist in residence 2014-2016 at ArtCenter/South Florida. Miami, FL, U.S.A. In an exploration of abandoned empty spaces, Zargón portrays an exhaustion of hope as she incorporates traces of manufacturing artifacts from the Industrial era. Through the medium of photography and painting, Zargón creates a semantic configuration of reality as she reflects on the relationship between production, work, and social progress to greater understand the present. Vivana Zargon was born in Buenos Aires in 1958. She Studied at the University of Barcelona, School of Fine Arts and was awarded the annual scholarship from Government of Catalunya, Spain given to young artists.
