About the Item
Artist Comments
"Aura of Orange" was painted from life alla prima style, meaning all in one sitting. Pamela enjoys painting at an energetic pace, which gives her work a loose and free feeling. The mandarins in this piece exude a vibrant energy that seems to escape their physical boundaries. The painting was done on linen mounted on board and will need a frame for display.
About the Artist
Pamela Blaies unexpectedly discovered her passion for art. A move with her family put her children in sad spirits, so to cheer them up she painted murals on their bedroom walls. With time, she began looking forward to painting more and more. She works in "alla prima" style, a technique in which artists don;t wait for paint to dry and work with layers of wet paint. The effects of light and shadows in the world greatly influence her work.
