About the Item

Angela brings vibrant immediacy to her figurative paintings. She uses a depth of colour and bright outlines of her figures to emphasize shape and contours. In all her works Angela gives a real sense of presence and personality to the model. Mixed media on paper Signed, unframed Angela was born in 1946 and studied art at Kingston Art College, London. Her early career was predominantly spent designing sets for rock bands. This connection with the flourishing world of rock music took Angela to Wales where she was to run a recording studio for many years. Latterly she has returned to the art world and after some successful exhibitions in the West Country of England she has settled upon depicting figures. Angela has a beautiful and unusual way of using colour and her figurative works are sublime.
