Nan Hass Feldman's 40 x 30 x 2 inch oil painting on canvas titled, "Waterlilies in the Botanical Gardens" is part of series that was inspired by a lovely botanical garden near Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. The variety of blues, greens, golds, and pinks colors are heightened and the textures are thick and tactile to feel the motion of a living, breathing scene. This view is looking down into the pond to give you the feeling you are there admiring the nuances of this alive, abstracted, and designed space. The sides are painted a soft ochre and it is initialed on the bottom right corner on the front as well as titles, signed, and dated on the back.
Nan Hass Feldman has been a full-time artist for over 40 years. Her works, whether Landscapes or Interiors are interpreted through her screen of selective seeing, playful detail, heightened color, and bits of fantasy.
