About the Item
19th Century French school,
Two italian women in a landscape,
oil on canvas
59 x 43.5 cm
Bears a signature and a date on the lower left (see photograph please) but barely lisible "C... 1846" (?)
In quite good condition: craquelures, restorations, one visible on the back (see photograph please). Recently cleaned.
In a modern oak frame 62 x 47 cm
This oil sketch has precisely the charm and the interest of an unfinished composition.
It's a rare testimony of a work in progress; the unfinished faces of the two women become almost accidentally cubist figures.
Full of charm and very original.

- Bathing OgunquitBy Angel Ramiro SanchezLocated in Sag Harbor, NYPainted from life in Ogunquit, Maine. A sandy beach crowded with figures sitting beneath umbrellas. Shadows are cast and depicted with rich purples and blues. This work is currently unframed. Signed: Angel Ramiro Sanchez Angel Ramiro Sanchez was born in 1974 in Maracaibo, Venezuela.
