About the Item
"Waterfall and Spray #2" Oil on Panel, 12 x 12 x 3/4 Inches, is a meticulously painted rendition of the spray from a waterfall at dusk against a brilliant blue sky with bursts of white light appearing through clouds and a glimpse of the waterfall with greenery lower right. MacNeille has an amazing ability to paint water and mist and the effects light has upon them. She also paints in a much larger scale.
This painting is part of a series of 7 different 12 x 12 inch paintings of this subject as seen from various vantage points which lend themselves to wonderful groupings, sold individually. Some paintings include more greenery in addition to the water and sky but all relate.
This painting is unframed and painting is not necessary as the sides are painted gray.
MacNeille is an exquisite painter of landscapes in general as well whose subjects extend far beyond waterfalls and clouds and sky: Niagara Falls, beach and marsh scenes of extraordinary quality, very realistic.
