Beautiful mid century landscape watercolor of a farmhouse surrounded by autumn trees in a rural setting by watercolor artist Kay Swanson (American, 20th century), 1969. Swanson uses a skilled hand to depict this peacefully farm scene with delicate, fine details.
Signed lower left.
Biography on verso.
Displayed in a rustic wood frame.
Image size: 18"H x 28"L.
Swanson studied at Drake University and with various private instructors. Her watercolors have been exhibited at art fairs and galleries throughout the Chicago area. Her work is represented in many private collections, and has won various awards for her paintings.

Kay Swanson
Kay Swanson is a watercolor artist from Park Ridge, Illinois. Swanson studied at Drake University and is a member of the Park Ridge Art League and Des Plaines Art Guild. Swanson “paints from her own life experience, portraying rural Midwest and Vermont landscape in a softly realistic and natural style.”
Kay Swanson’s work has been displayed in various art fairs and galleries, Lutheran General Hospital, Bell Federal Savings and Loan, St. Matthew Home and the Chicago Public Library.
