Carmel Coast, Small-Scale Contemporary California Seascape by Kathleen Murray Gorgeous contemporary seascape of the beautiful Carmel, California coast by Kathleen Murray (American, b.1958), circa 2015. The vibrant turquoise waters of the pacific ebb and flow in this beautiful coastal cove scene. Signed "Murray" lower right corner. Unframed. Measures 11"H x 14"W. Kathleen Murray (American, b. 1958) was born in Los Angeles, California. In the early 1970s, Murray spent three years in Europe studying art and languages at the American School in Switzerland (TASIS) and a year in Italy at St. Michael's School outside Florence. She resides in the Monterey Bay where she is well known for her deeply saturated and textured oil seascapes and landscapes of Carmel, Big Sur, and surrounding Coastal areas.

Wiggins lived in Old Lyme and Essex where he operated an art school. The Connecticut country-side was conducive to his impressionist technique of plein-air painting and broken brushwork.  Ironically, although his work includes many fine Connecticut landscapes, he is best remembered for some snow scenes of New York City. Like many other American Impressionists, Wiggins had one foot in the city and the other in the country (Vermont Hillside, South Londonderry).  Wiggins was born in Brooklyn, New York, went to England with his family as a boy, received an English grammar school education, and traveled widely abroad. John Zaccheo, known for his exquisite portraits and vibrant paintings of Mediterranean seascapes as well as alluring flowering gardens and country settings is a master with the brush and at one time, a palette knife; creating color and form with each stroke that captivates the viewer. Born in Kingston, New York, John earned degrees from Dutchess College and Syracuse University and won a gold medal for outstanding achievements in fine arts. After finishing college, John enlisted in the US Navy and completed two world tours, as well as tour duty in Vietnam.
