Jim Rodgers
Quiet Evening Sail, original 30x40 impressionist marine landscape

About the Item

Luxuriating in a quiet evening sail, literally off into the sunset, in a lone sailboat that's traversing a bath of many shades of blue, lavender, pink and yellow away from shore, towards the setting sun is nothing if not sublime. As the sun slips behind the color drenched skies in this original 30x40 marine landscape, master impressionist Jim Rodgers' impasto coupled with impressionist brush strokes enhance the soothing feeling of quiet, gentle motion. The oil painting is framed in a classically carved wood frame in antique gold with some distressing. Jim Rodgers studied painting at both the highly respected Art Students League of NYC and Ridgewood Art Institute of NewJersey. He has pursued his craft for more than 30 years to notable acclaim; amongst numerous other serious collections, Rodgers' works are included in the collections of a prior chairman of J P Morgan Chase, Pennsylvania Trust and Champion Mortgage Company.
