Eugene Maziarz
Red Velvet, original 24x30 expressionist landscape

About the Item

The parade of red flowering trees feel like an antique red velvet with their plush red flowers and mixture of red color values. Their shapes add to the sumptuous feeling they lend to the entire expressionist landscape. Polish American artist Eugene Maziarz applies classic impressionist impasto to the tree groves to add depth and an organic element to the composition. The setting under an aquamarine sky and on lime green fields only adds to the sense of well being that this painting exudes. Prior to migrating to the United States, Maziarz was appointed, by the Polish Ministry Committee of Culture in Warsaw, as a member of the prestigious Polish Organization of Artists. He also taught painting at some of the leading universities in Poland. He primarily shows his work in California, New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. The unframed size of this original oil painting is 24x30.
