This fine painting depicts a Kossak flogging four horses who pull his sleigh as they attempt to outrun a pack of wolves, who chase them in hot pursuit. The chase is set in the icy Tundra, and the use of almost fluorescent tones suggest that the time of day is around twilight.
The painting is signed 'C. Stoiloff' to the lower left, and is framed in an intricately carved giltwood frame.
