Scottish Impressionist 20th century oil, figures inside a clothing market. He exhibited at the Royal Academy; Royal Society of British Artists; Royal Hibernian Academy; Royal Glasgow Institute of Fine Arts; Royal Institute of Painters in Water Colours. Murray Urquhart was the son of Dr. Andrew Urquhart, Oakley, Kirkcudbright.  His mother, who died two weeks after Murray’s birth, was the daughter of Alexander McNeel Caird, Procurator Fiscal for Wigtownshire.
