'Postlude' is a beautiful figurative abstract acrylic painting on canvas by emerging Ukrainian artist - Yuriy Zakordonets. It is a modern intimate portrait presenting a woman in a bed which is performed in a graphic style with brown color aesthetic. The art piece has similarities with African tribal art. Organic authentic design, strong color palette and lovely personal storyline create a stunning image that grabs attention in any interior decor. This original art piece mounted on stretchers (0.9″ depth). It is a unique art piece that is in excellent condition (new). It is shipped along with a Certificate of Authenticity, signed and dated by the artist. You will receive the painting ready to be placed on the wall so you can enjoy it in your own interior right away. Yuriy Zakordonets has a very peculiar style. He has worked with different materials: wood, metal, and canvas—but also leather, which almost became his signature, like a “proof of origin” of his art. Ukraine is a country where farming is very well integrated into the economy. Many people have (or used to have) connections to rural life. And leather is somewhat a symbol of stability, original crafts, local business, hard work... His works include elements of cave paintings; lines are soft, human bodies are rather symbolic and tattooed and images are graphic. They remind us of ancient alphabets. The lines create a labyrinth, a maze where you can easily get lost… His work amazes us by its aesthetic as well as its power of traditional art. It is authentic and it has decorative magic. His art career started in the early 1980s when he took part in various exhibitions dedicated to painting, graphics, and design as an artist, coordinator, and curator. Since then, over the years, Yuriy has successfully combined multiple art community leadership roles with his personal exhibitions which took place in Odessa (Ukraine), Riga (Latvia), Tallinn (Estonia), Chicago (US). His artworks are included in private collections in Europe, Australia, Asia, the US, and Africa.
