"The artwork is to understand the cumulative impact of a tussle between the opinion overlap and an existential turmoil, and their impact on nature. The world is full of contradictions, disparities, and paradoxes. It has been a theatre of bloody inter-state as well as civil wars; it has witnessed liberation movements, nuclear rivalry, military dictatorships and continues to suffer from insurgencies, religious fundamentalism, and terrorism. Today we are forced to live in the shadow of epidemics when the overlap of opinion has put nature and our existence in danger. My art practice is influenced by the historical Rajasthani style and Patna Kalam. The two also connect the events of my life together. Also, there is some contradiction in both styles which helps me to understand my subject." Artist Statement: My art practice tries to understand the relationship between nature and human existence in the contemporary world. The rapid development has confused the culture. Human dependence on nature has been described in India and all the ancient civilizations of the world. Ayurveda (The Science of Life) also describes the laws of nature and nature’s dependence for human health. but currently, we have become indifferent to nature. Apathy towards nature has increased due to urbanization and increasing population. The greenery is shrinking, the cities are spreading. Like many Indians, I too had to migrate from my place to a big city for a living. And I can feel the pain of getting away from nature. By depicting the contemporary theme with the help of Rajasthani miniature technique, I have tried to embody this feeling. Which is an experience of keeping traditionalism alive in contemporary art. I have used water and acrylic color on paper. My work is in sets that present the content in a variety of ways.
