Beautiful abstract landscape by American artist, Judith Ingram (1926-2012). Landscape, ca. late 1960s. . Oil on canvas laid down to masonite panel, measures 29 x 52.5 inches; 30.5 x 54 inches framed. Frame is custom, gilt edge solid mahogany. Signed lower right.
Painting is on excellent condition. Frame exhibits some loss and wear to gilding as is evident in detail photos.
This piece is a very fine example from Ingram's colorist period from the 1960's. Compositions consisted largely of abstract arrangements suggesting landscapes. She is notable for being a Philadelphia abstract expressionist woman artist active during the 1960's. Later, her preferred medium switched to hand-made paper and ceramics.
