About the Item
A cloud of silvery white floats across shimmering layers of turquoise and cerise in this abstract painting by Alice Teichert. The cloud appears above a flurry of calligraphic marks that the artist refers to as visual poetry.
"Over the course of creating these paintings, a visual notation slowly unfolds into its own form of resonance like ripples of language dancing in space, water and time." ~ Alice Teichert
Teichert studied music, philosophy, visual arts in Belgium and France. Since 1989, she has built an international career with over 30 solo exhibitions in Germany, France, NY, Canada, Switzerland and Australia. Teichert’s paintings are held in many private, corporate and public collections including the MacLaren Art Centre, Global Affairs Canada, the Musée de la Ville de Valence, France.
