Emily Roz"Suspend" Optical Art Contemporary Painting with Female Figure2020
2020
About the Item
"Suspend" is an evocative contemporary op art painting, depicting a female nude lounging amongst a planar background of optics and geometric visual effects. Vibrant colors of violets, reds, yellows and blues in geometric patterns create illusion and optical effects that surround and absorb the figure in this painting by Emily Roz. Referencing op art and a 1970's sensibility, volumizing shaded stripes, polka dots, stripes and radiating lines of color in contrasting angles creates a distorted planar ground that the figure extends across, facing away from the viewer.

- "Radiator" Optical Art Contemporary Painting with Female FigureBy Emily RozLocated in New York, NY"Radiator is an evocative contemporary op art painting, depicting a female nude with bullseyes of color and graphic bursts. Emily Roz incorporates a complex palette of pastel colors with contrasting deep violets, reds and golden yellow oranges. The geometric patterns and forms create illusion and optical effects that distorts the background into multi-levels of angles and planes of color. The female figure's skin tone reflects and seems to radiate the glow from the vibrant red and yellow stripes and concentric circles, which reference op art and a 1970's sensibility. - Evenings at the Farm Near Dikanka - archival pigment print 48x36"By Sergiy AndreyevLocated in Beverly Hills, CAA gallery quality archival pigment print of the original oil painting signed by the author. Limited edition of 100. The painting is inspired by traditional Ukrainian motifs and the literary works of Nikolai Gogol between 1829 – 1832, and the mystical fusion of these stories with the modern world. The green apple in the center is both a symbol of temptation and a representation of technological progress depicted by the iPhone. The devil holding the phone is taking a selfie with a Kozak he had led astray. The Kozak, beguiled by the woman reflected in the bottle of horilka (moonshine), is unaware that this encounter was orchestrated by the devil. In the foreground and background of the painting are various Ukrainian dishes and delicacies. They are the most realistic elements of the painting, suggesting that the painter wants to share his love for this food with the viewer. The painting is signed by the author and can be framed or unframed. It can decorate any corner of the room based on individual preference. Sergiy Andreyev...Category

- Dolls - archival pigment printBy Sergiy AndreyevLocated in Beverly Hills, CAA gallery quality archival pigment print of the original oil painting signed by the author. Limited edition of 100. Print #3. The painting is a reflection on a philosophical idea of not always having control over one’s life. The two halves of the painting suggest that the reality of what is happening may be an illusion, and the puppet master is someone else entirely. The nakedness of the woman and the elaborate costume of the jester make us wonder at which is more powerful. Dolls are an excellent decoration that can captivate the curiosity of the viewer.
