Lost Paradise 3, 2020, 1/50. Digital painting.
Namibian painter Arno Hoth creates digital artworks using new media technology. Born in Windhoek in 1950, he attended Kunstschule Strahn in Germany from 1974 – 1977. While living and working In Germany Hoth bought a Wacom tablet which he used as a digital sketchbook for his paintings. The tablet allowed him to work quickly, laying out and experimenting with his ideas for new work. Soon he discovered that the technology provided a wider range of possibilities than working with paint on canvas. Hoth went beyond using the tablet for sketches and began focussing on digital painting as a medium in its own right. You can read more about Hoth’s creative process here. Hoth currently lives and works near Kamanjab in north west Namibia.
All artworks are available printed on Hahnemuehle German Etching Fine Art Textured 310GSM. Alternatively, artworks can be purchased in digital format with a limited copyright for printing in your home country.
