View of a warm day at the beach, done in an impressionist manner. The late afternoon sun lights up the clouds and horizon in yellow and pink. "I remember many days like this, sitting on the sand watching the end of day," Allan reminisces.
About the Artist
At first glance of Allan P Friedlander's work, one can see the free, painterly influence of artists such as Monet and van Gogh. However, he puts his own twist on the nature-themed scenes he creates, using highly choreographed color palettes and blurring the lines between impressionism and abstraction. For his most recent series, he traveled across the English countryside looking to capture the beauty and vibrance of the landscape. The resulting work flows with energy and the discovery of a grand road trip.
