About the Item
Mixed media collage of photographs over acrylic paint by James A. Coughlin (American, 20th Century). Presented in a wood frame. Signed "J.A. Coughlin" lower right. Framed: 32"H x 40"W. Image: 23"H x 32"W.
James Coughlin was born in New York. James Coughlin studied at the Brooklyn Museum of Art and Art Students League and Collage in Paris. He completed his education at the Tyler School of Fine Arts, Temple University. He painted primarily in abstract style. His work and home studio in the Berkley area were showcased in "LIfe" magazine back in the 1970's.
