Bunny Yeager, the pre-eminent female pin-up photographer of the 20th century took this pin-up self-portrait in the 1960s, showcasing her draw on both sides of the camera by posing in pink lace bloomers and with a pink lace shawl draped over her blonde curls and nude torso. A sensual portrait of the artist.
In an effort to capitalize on the booming popularity of color photography, Bunny took some of her old black & white film photographs and hand-painted them, usually with a combination of airbrushing, watercolor, and gouache. The result was these vibrant and boldly colored, decorative photos that capture the tanned, blonde beauty of the photographer to great effect.
The photograph has been adhered to a display board. This has been professionally matted and is ready for framing.
