About

The cat, a feminine seduction which evokes fertility, stability or passionate turmoil. Within the Taoist philosophy, which Batalla recreates in his artistic imagination, Taoism brings discipline and order within what seems a disturbing emotional chaos. In his paintings, through various technics, he expresses a variety of emotional moods which he handles using primarily basic colors: red, brown, grey, blue, black, all of them related to mother earth and the natural elements.
