Caricature by George Wachsteter (1911-2004) of Tennessee Ernie Ford in Dickensian-era garb, caroling with guest Jon Provost (Timmy Martin on `Lassie`) and the charismatic collie herself to promote the upocoming Thursday, Dec 25, 1958 Christmas edition of Ernie`s NBC-TV variety series, `The Ford Show Starring Tennessee Ernie Ford`. Appeared as the Dec 21, 1958 cover for The New York Journal-American Pictorial Magazine and TView Section, on 22" x 15" illustration board with colored pencil on onionskin laid to acetate overlay. Copious notes in GW`s hand. 14" x 9 1/2" image. Minor soiling, wrinkling and edge tears to onionskin, tape stains.
